DIY Chalkboard

You could always buy a chalkboard, but making one is more fun!

You can get creative and choose different shaped wood pieces or whatever for the background!

I chose a house shaped one.

what you will need (where I bought it):

  • a wood or something for the backboard (tokyo hands)
  • black chalkboard paint (tokyo hands)
  • masking tape (tokyo hands)
  • chalk (tokyo hands)

First seal off the area you want to be the chalkboard with the masking tape.

Then paint 2 coats of the chalkboard paint and let it fully dry.

After it’s dry remove the tape and write on it with chalk!

I decided to write all the reason why I love fall, so I can remind myself to do more of that. Another good idea is to write reminder lists, or favourite quotes, or your friends can write little notes when they come over!

p.s- you can erase the chalk with water and a paper towel, I find that works best without leaving the little chalk dust.
