I have been wanting to make these for a while now.. and I finally did it today!
How to make kale chips:
-about 3 handfuls of kale
-1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
-seasonings (I chose garlic and ‘lemon & herbs’ seasoning)
-Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
-Tear the kale off the stem into large pieces, place in a strainer and wash it.
-Put the washed kale into a salad spinner to dry it.
-After spinning it, make it extra dry with paper towels.
-Put it into a bowl and add 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and mix it around so that it goes on all the kale.
-Place it onto a baking sheet so that the kale is all spread out.
-Bake the kale until it is crispy, but still dark green in colour (brown kale is bitter).
-Check it at 12 minutes
-When done, take it out and season it with salt and any seasoning you choose.
-Let it cool for 5 minutes then enjoy!

-Source of lutein (mentioned in the post before), which is an antioxidant
-High in fibre, helps fill you up and keep you full
-High in vitamin A
-High in calcium
-High in vitamin K
-Provides decent amounts of vitamin c, folic acid, vitamin B6, potassium, and magnesium
-Low in calories
-Low in fat
They are perfect for a night time snack while watching tv, or to pack in a bag and take with you to work!
